ColdFusion is a programming language based on standard HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) that is used to create dynamic webpages. It gives the web developer incredible flexibility and power to create web pages on the fly (dynamically) that differ depending on user input, database lookups, time of day or a host of other criteria.
ColdFusion programming language was introduced by Allaire in 1996, acquired by Macromedia in a merger in April 2001, then acquired by Adobe in December 2005. Version 10 was recently released but the next version of the product is already in development.
In a ColdFusion application you can introduce an incredible range of functionality that is not available in static web sites or in traditional client/server applications, unlocking state-of-the-art technologies which essentially take your web site to the next level.
